How Does Botox Get Rid of Wrinkles

How Does Botox Get Rid of Wrinkles

Time machines may not be on the horizon yet, but you can certainly stop time!

How? By erasing the wrinkles from your face.

Those are the lines that add up to make you look old. You remove those lines, and you take many years off your face. A Botox treatment is definitely one of the most effective ways to do it. No, you won’t have a frozen face like many dread. Why would such a large majority of people line up to have their face frozen? They don’t. They line up to look younger without any actual surgery. Dermal fillers or Botox fillers are popular and they are as safe as treatments can get. Here’s how these fillers get rid of the wrinkles.

Deep lines that fill up your face with age make you look old. You can develop them on the forehead, above the lips, or on the sides of your eyes (called crow’s feet). But, Botox fillers soften the wrinkles by preventing the muscles from contracting. Dermal fillers do the same thing by directly filling up the wrinkled area. With time, the deep wrinkles will be greatly reduced, while the light wrinkles disappear altogether.

Physicians have been using these fillers for decades now. Over the time, the techniques have become more sophisticated and effective in their approach. Botox is also injected with fine needles and into very specific muscles, making it easy for the patient to bear them. But, just like any other injection, Botox injections can be painful to some people depending on their pain sensitivity. Being injected between the eyebrows can be a particularly difficult experience for some people. So, doctors use either ice or local anesthetics to numb the region that needs to be injected.

After the treatment, the physician will ask you to take certain precautions for the next 24 to 48 hours for best results. Some patients report bruising or headaches, but these are all temporary.

Also, it is strongly recommended that you do not tilt your head forward or rub the area where you have been injected. Sudden movements can make the Botox fillers and dermal fillers move too. You don’t want that, do you? So, it’s in your best interest to lie down for three to four hours after the injections, so that these fillers can work their magic and settle. That is not a lot of time given that you are going to wake up to a much younger self.

Botox fillers are an efficient and effective solution to wrinkles. However, they are not permanent. Each session rejuvenates you into the younger version of yourself for the next 6 months. As your muscles return to their usual function, the wrinkles start reappearing. That is your cue to go in for another session.

Just like Botox fillers, dermal fillers too work for 3 to 6 months. But, after each session, you will notice a pleasant difference in the severity of the wrinkles. The wrinkles tend to stay lighter than before, even when they appear after a few months of each session.

Botox fillers and dermal fillers are a quick, easy and safe solution to ageing. Try it once and you are going to love it, like the many millions of people before you. They’re totally worth it.
